Opps, Hawaii governor can't find Obama's long form birth certificate!

I guess he settled that nagging little problem.
WND has also reported that Tim Adams, a former senior elections clerk for the city and county of Honolulu in 2008, has maintained that there is no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate on file with the Hawaii Department of Health and that neither Honolulu hospital – Queens Medical Center or Kapiolani Medical Center – has any record that Obama was born there.

This is all based on the speculation of a birther website. Abercrombie did not say that he could not find the birth certificate. He said in fact that there was a document in the birth certificate files. Two officials in the Republican governor’s administration that preceded Abercrombie said repeatedly that there is an original birth certificate in Obama’s file and that it VERIFIES that Obama was born in Hawaii.
For Obama to have been born in any other country than the USA requires the combination of:
(1) Travel by his mother during late pregnancy (highly unlikely because of the high expense and high risk of such a trip in 1961. The expense of going to Kenya—the main allegation–is estimated at around $20,000 in 2010 dollars for two round trip, and the risk was high of stillbirths in 1961, and there was Yellow Fever in Kenya.);
(2) Birth outside of Hawaii (also unlikely);
(3) Birth abroad despite the absence of any foreign documents or photographs showing either that Obama was born in a foreign country or that his mother was in the country at the time (highly unlikely);
(4) The willingness of the parents to lie about his place of birth (unlikely since it would be a crime to file a false government document, and the lie would be unnecessary since for most purposes naturalizing a foreign-born child would be just as good as his being born in the country);
(5) Successfully smuggling the child into the USA without a US travel document (extremely unlikely), and;
(6) Convincing the officials in Hawaii that he was born in Hawaii (also extremely unlikely).
ALL of these six things would be required for there to be a reasonable case that he was born in any other country than the USA. What are the odds of all six of them happening?
The willingness to believe that Obama was born outside of the USA despite the overwhelming odds against it and despite all the evidence that he was born in Hawaii is why Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly all call birthers crazy.
Oh, and by the way, Obama’s Kenyan grandmother never said that he was born in Kenya. She said repeatedly in the taped interview that he was born in Hawaii, and she said in another interview that the first that her family in Kenya had heard of Obama’s birth was in a letter from Hawaii.

Sometimes it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie. Abercrombie isn’t doing Obama or the Democratic Party any favors. The point WND is making is important, while there ARE documents concerning Obama’s birth Abercrombie never said that the long form birth certificate was one of them. Maybe it was stolen, or burned up in a fire, who knows, but one thing’s for certain, Abercrombie stirred up a fire that was burning out.

No, but this was tagged on at the end of an interview, and it was obviously rushed. Abercrombie did not say, but the REPUBLICAN officials in Hawaii did say, in the first of the two confirmations. The first confirmation said that there was an original birth certificate in Obama’s file. The second confirmation said that the document or documents in the file VERIFIED that Obama was born in Hawaii.
You may ask “then why doesn’t Obama show it?” Because Hawaii has not sent out the original long-form birth certificate since 2001 when the short-form birth certificate became the official birth certificate.

Your reasoning for your last paragraph is illogical. So what if they send out the short form for births after 2001. Obama was born in 1961. Are you implying Hawaii destroyed records? If so, by all means, list articles and public records describing what happened to them.
They confirmed that the Hawaii Certification of Live Birth existed not the long form birth certificate by the way. But even that is in dispute, “The governor only suggested his investigations to date had identified an unspecified listing or notation of Obama’s birth that someone had made in the state archives.”

I said that they have not sent out the long forms since 2001 for EVERYONE. That means even for people who were born before 2001.
The officials in Hawaii stated that there was an ORIGINAL (that is the word that they used) birth certificate in Obama’s file, and in 1961 an original was a long form.

Here are the actual words:
“Fukino said she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures,” Fukino said.”
So, two officials in a Republican governor’s administration said that there was an original birth certificate in the files, and Abercrombie never said that there wasn’t or that they could not find it. Only WND said that Abercrombie “suggested” that it could not be found–which is entirely speculation by WND. The fact that Abercrombie was not quoted “there is an original birth certificate in the file” does not mean that there was not one.
I believe the two Republican officials, and that there is an original birth certificate in the files. However, Hawaii may have to change the law to allow it to be sent out since they have only sent out the new official birth certificate, the short-form Certification, to everyone (even people born before 2001) since it became the official birth certificate in 2001.

Actually, that’s not EXACTLY what you said. You should be a little more precise with your choice of words.
You may believe that they have seen the original long form birth certificate but those that want to see it for themselves will be the fly in ointment So, the sooner they broadcast it on national TV the better. Till then anything you say or anyone else won’t carry much weight.

Hawaii has not sent out the original birth certificate to ANYONE since the short-form birth certificate became the official birth certificate in 2001.
For there to be a reasonable story that Obama was not born in the USA required BOTH proof that the Hawaii documents and confirmations are false AND a reasonable story that Obama was born outside of the USA.
Those who claim that Obama was not born in Hawaii (birthers for short) almost always claim that the place where Obama was born was Kenya, and they say that Obama’s mother was visiting her husband’s relatives in 1961 when Obama was born.
This often tends to be based on the allegation that Obama’s Kenyan grandmother had said that she was present when Obama was born in Kenya. But, in fact, Obama’s Kenyan grandmother never said any such thing. She said repeatedly in the taped interview that Obama was born in HAWAII, where his father was studying at the time. And, she said in another interview that the first that her family had heard of Obama’s birth was in a letter from Hawaii.
In addition to the grandmother not saying that Obama was born in Kenya (nor did any other relative), there is the absence of official birth documents from Kenya (except for obvious forgeries). Birthers claim that this is explained by the Kenyan government sealing and hiding Obama’s documents.
But this explanation requires faith in the Kenyan government being so efficient that not only was it able to hide every document, but that it has successfully hidden the fact that it was even hiding documents. The latter seems quite a stretch given that divided governments tend to leak, and that complete efficiency in hiding files from such experts as the CIA (which surely would have investigated) plus foreign diplomats, plus journalists and freelance journalists seems extremely improbable.

It’s real simple. All Barry has to do is let Hawaii release the long form to media outlets. Problem solved. The only reason Barry doesn’t do this would be arrogance, IMHO. You wouldn’t have to come up with all your unusual arguments that won’t change these peoples minds anyway. If you want to sail a heavy burden around the cape instead of using the Suez Canal ask yourself why. Why can’t Barry nip this in the bud? All he has to do is pick up the phone and tell Hawaiian officials to release his records. It would be so quick and simple and yet he chooses not to. Does he have such little regard and contempt for the American people? Does he care about you, his supporters? Does he care that he makes you spend so much of your precious time defending him? Is it just a campaign ploy to keep his name in the Arlington paper or any other news outlet?

Hawaii did not send the original BC to Obama because Hawaii has not sent out the original BC to anyone since the short-form Certification of Live Birth became the official BC in 200l. Obama has the BC that Hawaii sent him in 2007, the same BC that it has sent to everyone since 2001. It is the new short-form official BC, not the original long-form BC, but it is the official BC, and the facts on it were confirmed repeatedly by the Republican officials in Hawaii.
Obama does not have the original. He has what Hawaii sent him, the new official BC, the same one that thousands of people in Hawaii every year, and the facts on it have been confirmed repeatedly by the the officials in Hawaii.

The facts are that Obama was born in Hawaii and has shown the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and the facts on his official birth certificate were confirmed repeatedly by the Republican officials in Hawaii–and by the Republican governor of Hawaii. Hawaii sent him the short-form birth certificate, which is what it sends to everyone since 2001, even people born before 2001.

I see you’re still stuck in a hard place. Repeating something over 9,000 times won’t change the facts. If you want to change these people’s minds you need to get them the long form birth certificate. You don’t have to keep reminding them of your failure to do so. It’s really making you look ineffectual, impotent and a little crazy.
I think it’s best we end the thread here.
